So, the last few days I have been on a kick. A zombie/virus outbreak movie kick. I have to admit, the two movie genre’s really aren’t that different. I have reasons as to why this is true, and I will give that list momentarily. The reason why these types of movies are awesome? The social commentary they present to us. that is something I will discuss momentarily as well. There are those out there that are “purists” when it comes to both the virus outbreak movies, and the zombie movies. When you throw a “unique twist” into the works, the “uber-fans” break out of their shells and bash the concepts. I, however, look at these unique twists and find they all work together very well.

Aloha!
Oh how I wish I could be saying that from Hawaii. However, I am still here, in Kansas where it has finally decided to be cold, and remind us all that it is indeed still winter. Either way, it is about damned time I decided to actually get around to writing a new blog. It has been way to long. I mean, hell! I last wrote a blog way back on December 26th! That is entirely to long ago. Sadly, not much really has happened since then either. Can’t blog about stuff when nothing much has been going on.
Hohum
And so here is a new post. Seems like my plate is always full to the point of a little spill over. No easy life for me that is for certain. However, I can’t complain to much. Life is on track, and is moving steadily forward. I really enjoy knowing that my life is progressing positively. But even with things progressing nicely, there are still elements that feel like they are missing.
Been to Long(?)
Wow, where has the time gone? My last blog was posted August 19th. Here it is now October 9th! I haven’t posted for a WHOLE MONTH?!? Kind of sad, I suppose. I shouldn’t neglect my poor blog like this. Hell, I haven’t even posted anything of interest to my tech blog in just as long. I really shouldn’t put off like this. It isn’t good. Anyway, thought I would type up what has been new and going on in my life lately.
I Keep Missing the Mark
Have you ever looked in on yourself and felt that you were meant for something great? That feeling of destiny. Do you feel as if you might have missed your chance, or unsure if you should be a “bit more patient”? That effectively sums up how I feel every day of my life. I look at where I am, where I have been, and where I am going. I keep having that nagging feeling that I am destined for greatness. I feel that I have missed opportunities, and keep getting chances. When will I hit the mark, or run out of chances?
Time to Learn Not to Stress Over Things
People, in this new era of being told we need more "stuff", we should learn to appreciate what we have. We shouldn’t fret over what we don’t have. Money is tighter than ever. We are told that we need more to be happy. We need to learn how to not worry about spending on frivolous items, but on the important things that secure our families well being. What I am talking about is learning to take the short cuts to get what we want, as long as it is legal. We need to buckle down and know that even though we aren’t working our dream jobs, we have jobs.
The Three Circles. What They Mean, and What They Are.
We all incorporate a variety of different type of people into our lives. These are the people that we call friends, family and associates. We call them by different names, labels and titles. Each person in our lives have special relationships and ties to who we are. How we group these people is remarkably similar, yet surprisingly confusing. I have instituted a system of Circles to group those I find most important in my life to the least important. Saying “least important” can seem rude, but that is how we as a species work out our relationships with various individuals. I am going to explain my system here.
Making changes
Today I have decided it was time to let go. Time to let go of emotional baggage that I have let myself cling to for to long. It hasn’t been healthy for me to allow it to go on for as long as I did, but i did. No longer. It has been done. This evening was the end of what I had to do.
Pseudo-Experts…Fuck ‘em!
I was sitting here and reading a couple articles on Harry Potter, and such. In these articles, they centered around particular "experts". These "experts", and if I could emphasize the quotes more so I would, would go on about various aspects of the content, the inclusions, insights, and so on and so forth about what they were an "expert" on. My curiosity is, "What makes one an ‘expert’?"
